We accept both PayPal and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). If you sign up with PayPal, we require you to have a credit card attached to your account. We’re sorry, but we cannot accept money orders, checks, or any other forms of payment besides those mentioned above.
To find out when you next owe a payment for your Ventrilo Server, log in to your Control Panel, and go to the Manage Servers page. On this page you will see the date when your server’s next payment is due. If you have not cancelled your server, then you should not worry about having to pay for another month or months, because your bill will automatically renew until cancelled.
If payment fails, you can first try to renew your server through the Manage Servers page of your Control Panel. If payment continues to fail, you should open up a support ticket in your Control Panel detailing the payment method you’re attempting and the problem that you’re having. Our Billing Department will work with you to find a solution.
The best way to give ownership of your account to another person for the reason of retaining your hostname and port is to first give them your Control Panel username and password. After they have logged in, have them access the Account Information page and change the information to their own. After changing the information, proceed to the Manage Servers page, have them cancel the current subscription of the server, and then renew it afterward. This will ensure that the new owner’s account information is on file, as well as their billing information. Lastly, have the person go to the User Information page and change the username and password to their own.
Being charged more than once for the same billing period can sometimes happen by mistake. If this happens, please open up a support ticket in your Control Panel and we will gladly refund any erroneous payments. This is not a common occurrence and not something you should be worried about having happen to you.
Changing your billing cycle can be done through the Manage Servers page of your Control Panel, where you can choose the Renew option. If you go to the Manage Servers page and do not see the Renew option, then you'll need to first cancel your current subscription with us. Once it has been cancelled, go back to the Manage Servers page and click the Renew link. Please open up a support ticket in your Control Panel if you have any questions about how to change the billing cycle.
Changing your billing cycle can be done through the Manage Servers page of your Control Panel, where you can choose the Upgrade option (this does not necessarily mean that you're upgrading your server's size). If you go to the Manage Servers page and do not see the Upgrade option, then you'll need to first cancel your current subscription with us. Once it has been cancelled, go back to the Manage Servers page and click the Upgrade link. You'll be able to change your billing cycle from there. Please open up a support ticket in your Control Panel if you have any questions about how to change the billing cycle.
For all pre-paid accounts, we do not offer a partial refund. Due to the fact that you decided to prepay and received a discount ahead of time, gaining an advantage over people who selected to pay by the month, we cannot issue you a partial refund. It's to your benefit, though, that your Ventrilo server will stay alive and kicking until the end of its term (i.e., the date when it's scheduled to shut off).
You can use the contact us page to reach us for any billing related questions. We have a Billing Department that’s specifically trained to deal with anything you might throw at them. Please be sure to select that your question is billing related from the drop down list when submitting a ticket.
