Me and a large group of friends have been online friends for the past 7 years. We are a very close-knit group, and have always had issues communicating to each other. We had tried TeamSpeak before, and it just wasn't what we were looking for, and some members had quality issues. We then tried Ventrilo. We had used Ventrilo before, and had some experience with it from use of other clan's/people's servers, but since we only had a friend hosting it locally on his home machine, we were limited to 8 people. At first I was skeptical, since I had never purchase any sort of service online before, but the price was amazing - far lower than the other companies we had checked out. I paid for a 25-man server at $33 every 3 months, and it was the best thing I ever did. The server was up within the minute and I was completely shocked at the speed. We had it configured and setup within 15 minutes and have been using it heavily ever since. We have only ever had one issue with the server dropping out, but TypeFrag fixed it before we even realized there was an issue. Top marks for everything, only reason I can't mark TypeFrag on support requests and such, is because we had never had an issue. 10/10.

I actually started looking for a Ventrilo host Saturday night when I decided to build a PvP group in World of Warcraft. I wanted something up and running as soon as possible. I started as most by looking for the least expensive that would be up quickly. I found NRGServers that offered 50 slots for 10$ monthly (what a deal I thought). They indicated the server would be up and running within 1-3 hours. First hint of trouble: The 'latest news' link on their front page displayed news from 4 years ago. Next their support page was 'under construction' even though they claim to have been in business for several years. 12 hours later nothing! I sent in 3 service requests. 3 days later; nothing! No response or server info, nothing! Well have the 3rd hour and NRG not coming through I decided to look elsewhere. This brought me to e-Place.net; another cheap (I think it was 15$ a month for 50 slots) service that offered instant server setup and use. Again, I ordered (second Vent server service I had ordered that day). I immediately received an email that granted me access to my account info on their webpage; but no control panel for the vent server. No connection info. Several server side DB errors and several dead links later I gain access to their support contact info. At least they have a telephone number that just rings and rings and rings, so I use the online support to send 2 tickets in and then I waited. Now it's close to midnight (15 hours after I became my quest to acquire instant Ventrilo hosting services). During all this time I searched forums and sites for info on both services I had ordered (and paid for). Several times TypeFrag's name came up. Several people posted positive feedback about TypeFrag (one was even as they flamed NRGServers' service). TypeFrag's was instantly set up and it was the best choice ever! I am so happy I went with them and wish I had from the beginning.
